Steven M. Tilton
Education and Childhood: Steven was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 2,1960. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1978. He attended Washburn University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in May 1982. He received a Master of Business Administration in December of 1984. He subsequently attended Washburn University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in May 1988
Employment: While attending Junior High School and Topeka High School, Steve worked after school and on weekends for his uncle Fred at Tilton's Market. While attending Washburn University beginning in 1978, Steve served for over twenty years as a law clerk for his father, Robert Tilton. This opportunity allowed Steve to obtain hands-on legal experience. since his graduation from law school and passage of the Kansas Bar Examination, Steve has devoted full-time effort to the practice of law for over 15 years.
Professional Associations: Steve is a member of the Topeka Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association and sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR). Steve is admitted and licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Family: Steve has been married to Connie Tilton since 1991 and has two children, Emily Elizabeth and Michael Andrew. Steve is a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Topeka Shriners.
